- Chill in the fridge until ice-cold, or keep in an ice bucket.
- Remove the foil over the cork and twist the metal cage loose.
- Grab the thickest part of the bottle with your dominant hand. Grip the cork with a kitchen towel or cloth napkin.
- Place the base of the bottle against your hip. Slowly turn the bottle back and forth with your right hand while holding the cork firmly steady with your left.
- Keep the cork facing away from you. Slow down when the cork is almost out so the cork gently slides out rather than popping aggressively.
- Pour a glass!
