Effective September 1, 2024
The WineShop Rewards Program (which began in 2022) was retired on September 1, 2024. The new Referral Rewards Program replaces it. Former WineShop Rewards Members stopped accruing new Points beginning on August 1, 2024 and could have used their Points balance up until 9PM Pacific time, August 31, 2024. As of September 1, 2024, Points are no longer valid for redemption at checkout.
The WineShop At Home Referral Rewards Program allows WineShop At Home customers to earn promotional reward discounts toward future WineShop At Home purchases by referring friends or family members to WineShop At Home. By participating in the Referral Rewards Program, you agree to abide by the Referral Rewards Program Terms & Conditions as well as WineShop At Home’s Terms and Privacy Policy (available on our website and incorporated here by reference).
Defined Terms
Referrer: you, a registered WineShop At Home customer and a legal resident of the United States over the age of 21 years old.
Referred Customer: someone to whom the Referrer shares their referral link. Each order the Referred Customer successfully places for a sale of $20 or more before tax and shipping, using the same referral link, will generate a Referrer Discount for their Referrer.
Referral Link: a personalized referral link, provided to you by WineShop At Home upon your customer account registration.
Referrer Discount: a promotional reward discount of 30% off a bottle of wine to your account to be used on www.wineshopathome.com for every referral sale of $20 or more before tax and shipping,
About the Program
For the Referrer
The Referrer may earn a Referrer Discount toward future WineShop At Home wine purchases if a Referred Customer clicks on the Referrer’s Referral Link and places an order on www.wineshopathome.com for $20 or more before tax and shipping. The Referrer Discount will be granted to the Referrer within 1 day of the Referred Customer placing an order at www.wineshopathome.com. All Referrer Discounts will automatically expire after 90 days. The Referrer is not limited to the number of people they refer. The Referrer is limited to a maximum of 12 Referrer Discount generations per month.
Discount Exclusions
The Referrer Discount can be applied to individual bottles of wine only and is not valid toward Glory Cellars wines, charitable donations, bundles, gifts, accessories, wine specials or already discounted products, Personalized Wine, Wine Club, Sip & Save, Sampler add-ons or Samplers. The Discount is non-transferable, not valid for cash or cash equivalent and cannot be combined with other offers. The Referrer is responsible for all taxes which are applied to the price after the Discount is applied. The Discount may be redeemed on www.wineshopathome.com only and may not be applied to any prior purchases, taxes, fees, shipping and delivery charges, or toward the purchase of gift cards.
Follow the Rules
WineShop At Home reserves the right to review, investigate, and disqualify any Discount that violates the intent of the WineShop At Home Referral Rewards Program, which is to reward legitimate referrals. Examples of such violations are attempting to gain a Discount through self-referral by using a different email address or distributing a Referral Link via commercial advertising or spam. WineShop At Home may delay any Discount for the purposes of investigation and may refuse to process any transaction if a violation has occurred. If the Referred Customer’s order is canceled or returned, the Discount will be withdrawn.
Referrers should only invite via email or text after receiving prior permission from the Referred Customer to send to them. Referrers must comply with all up-to-date “SPAM” laws and marketing regulations, which may include the laws where the intended Referred Customers live. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner and bulk email distribution is prohibited.
Any distribution of the Referral Link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of the Referrer’s account and exclusion from the Rewards Program.
Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to individuals only. WineShop At Home's Referral Rewards Program cannot be used by businesses or organizations, as determined in WineShop At Home's sole discretion.
WineShop At Home Independent Wine Consultants are eligible to share their Referral Link with Referred Customers and receive the Referrer Discount. Wine Consultants only: the 30% off discounted bottles are commissionable to you at the discounted rate.
Privacy
Participation in the Referral Rewards Program requires that a Referred Customer and/or a Referrer submit personal information about themselves, including date of birth and contact information. Such information may be used by WineShop At Home to contact Referred Customers and Referrers regarding participating in the Referral Rewards Program. By clicking on a Referral Link, the Referred Customer acknowledges that their order date will be known to the Referrer who provided the Referral Link as confirmation of the Referring Customer making a purchase and the Referrer receiving a Referrer Discount. WineShop At Home strongly advises that Referring Customers only use a Referral Link that they receive from someone whom they personally know and trust. Any personal information collected, processed, and used as part of WineShop At Home’s Referral Rewards Program, including that of the Referrer and Referred Customer, will be used in accordance with WineShop At Home’s Privacy Policy.
WineShop At Home Right to Close Accounts
WineShop At Home is not responsible for errors, omissions, malfunctions, interruptions, deletions, delays or failures of operations. WineShop At Home reserves the right to close the account(s) of any Referrer and/or Referred Customer and to request proper payment if the Referrer and/or Referred Customer attempts to use the WineShop At Home Referral Rewards Program in a questionable manner, breaches any of these Terms & Conditions, or is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation. All of WineShop At Home’s decisions will be final and binding, including decisions as to whether a Discount is verified.
Right to Terminate
Participation in the WineShop At Home Referral Rewards Program is a privilege granted to WineShop At Home customers and as such can be suspended, revoked, or terminated at any time by WineShop At Home as may be determined is necessary.
Changes to Program Benefits or Terms
WineShop At Home reserves the right to change, cancel, remove or vary any or all of the Terms of the Referral Rewards Program, to amend these Terms and Conditions, or to terminate the Program at any time after proper notice is given. Notice of any changes, amendments or termination will be provided to WineShop At Home customers via message or email, or by being posted on the WineShop At Home website. Changes to the program will become effective as stated in these notifications. Your participation in the Program after receiving such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes.
You should read all notifications sent to you and review these Terms and Conditions periodically to ensure familiarity with the most current version. You will always be able to tell when the version was last updated by checking the “Revised” date at the top of these Terms and Conditions. All questions or disputes regarding the Program, including without limitation, those involving eligibility, participation, fraud, and abuse will be resolved by WineShop At Home.
Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the customer and WineShop At Home in connection with the Program, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California, or any other jurisdiction), which might suggest the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
